Curriculum:

KASA offers a rigorous college preparatory instructional program including:

* Organizational skills, study skills and time management training;
* An extended school day (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) four days per week;
* Double instruction in English and math;
* Foreign language study for all scholars

KASA will also pursue accreditation as in International Baccalaureate (IB) school, providing scholars with the opportunity to engage in the most demanding course of college preparatory study available, and ultimately, the ability to earn college credits. KASA's goal is to surpass state standards and graduation requirements to prepare each scholar to be ready for and to succeed in college.

Personalization:

Because we are a small school with only 80 scholars per grade level, every child will be known well by at least one adult in the building. The extended day and Saturday program provide additional opportunities for teachers to work individually with scholars and keep them on track toward their academic goals. KASA scholars will graduate not just ready for college, but with the confidence to succeed once they get there.

Uniform Dress Code:

All scholars must wear the KASA school uniforms each day. The middle school and high school have distinct uniforms. If you'd like to see them, you may visit www.dennisunifrom.com. Once a month, we have professional dress day, where scholars are to wear business attire. Jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed at any time.

Partnerships:

KASA Baltimore is opening in partnership with Replications, Inc., a non-profit organization that has created twenty-six new school sin New York City and two Innovation High Schools in Baltimore.

KASA is being guided by Replications' highly successful work in New York City where they ahve opened seven KAPPA middle schools and one KAPPA high school.
